Hi, Im Jess Whitney, LMHC

about me

A smiling woman with blonde hair sitting cross-legged on a wooden surface, wearing a coral pink blouse and white pants, with large green monstera plants in the background.

My Story

I grew up in a home shaped by divorce, alcoholism and chaos — a perfect storm that taught me to please, fix, and over-function to stay safe. For most of my 20s, I didn’t realize there was another way to live. Those patterns weren’t just habits — they were survival skills.

The shift came slowly. I started noticing how disconnected and resentful I felt, even while doing “all the right things.” I began saying no, letting others be disappointed, and sitting in the discomfort of not being liked.

Little by little, I started to feel more like me, not the version shaped by chaos, but the one I was always meant to be.

Now, I Help Women Do The Same

I work with Women who are exhausted from being the strong one. Women who hold everything together. The peacemakers, overachievers, caretakers, but secretly feel anxious, resentful, or unsure who they are underneath all the doing.

Together, we’ll untangle people-pleasing, perfectionism, and self-abandonment, replacing them with self-trust, boundaries, and honest communication.

It’s not about becoming someone new.
It’s about coming home to who you’ve always been.

My Approach to Therapy

What Lights Me Up . . .

Woman smiling and sitting at a desk holding a white mug, with a laptop, colorful pens, and books in the background.

Watching clients set boundaries without spiraling afterward

Helping women realize they don’t have to earn their worth

Supporting clients through the messy process of unlearning people-pleasing

Creating a space where you can exhale and be real

Seeing clients who’ve been in therapy for years experience deep change in just a few sessions

I also help fellow therapists start and grow virtual practices & professional social. media accounts, with clarity, confidence, and support every step of the way.
